As you may have read in my first blog, I'm a mother of three, wife of a military man, and a full-time student at Full Sail University. Well now I discovered volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. I know some of you are asking me if I'm crazy! Behind everything that I seem to jump in and do, there's some logic. I mean, lets be honest, we may teach our kids that helping other will make them feel good about themselves, and they should always try to do unto other as you would want them to do to you. Well how are our kid supposed to know how to do this if they don't see it? By me volunteering for this organization I believe that I was showing my children how to make a difference in someones life. At the end of the day my back was hurting, my feet were hurting and slightly swollen, and I was just down right tired, but it was all worth it. I might not ever meet the people who will benefit from what I did, but I do know that my children have not only been taught a good lesson about helping others but giving up a little time may better someone's life.
This should be a lesson for all of us. If you have a day off volunteer, you'll never know who's life you will impact.

Mother, wife and a Full Sail student?
I know it sounds crazy but here I am. Some would think that traveling around the world with their Marine husband and taking care of their three kids aging from four to eight would be enough on their plate but not me. Of all the schools to go to I chose the busiest, time consuming, and fast paced schools out there! And to top that off I actually go to school on campus. Sometimes I even wonder myself how in the world I am doing it. My schedule starts in the morning at seven o'clock a.m. and can end at one o'clock a.m. To many mothers out there, it's unheard of!
Don't get me wrong; I do miss being with my husband and kids. To my surprise the schedule seems to work out perfectly. I do believe that I can do it then we all can do it. The key to success is working hard and being passionate about your dreams. The only thing that can hold you back is yourself! Always keep that in mind.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you liked it. I will be sure to post more things in the future. Thank you.
